Off Season Visitors!

*WE ARE NOW SMOKE-FREE*

Your All Season Getaway Place
We are located just 2 miles west of Loring on a quiet 6 mile lake called Caribou Lake. Caribou Lake is spring fed and pollution free, which we hope to keep that way. It houses such fish variety’s as pickerel/walleye, lake trout, northern pike, small and large mouth black-bass, perch and herring. Our 11 cottages are spread out on a half mile peninsula with plenty of trees and bush for as much privacy as you want. We own 100 acres of land for you to scout, hunt, snowmobile, cross-country ski or toboggan on. No matter what time of the year you choose to come, we are one of the few camps left that are pet friendly.

For the Fisherman

We always have lots of fish stories for you, but if that won’t do, create your own by crossing a portage to 4 smaller lakes, which have aluminum boats, that we rent, stored on them. We can rent you canoes, paddle boats or boats and motors for that special father/son fishing trip. Plan a family fishing trip, or get together with friends or work buddies, in our off-season, and get discounted rates you can afford. Pike and Bass are always great little sportsman fish that will always give you a fight, but Caribou Lake has excellent walleye and trout fishing year round. There has been a re-stocking program for walleye in place for over 15 years and over 20 years for trout, so you can blame the weather ……… or may be the fisherman for a day with no fish caught! We are listed in the ‘Central OntarioDivision’ of the MNR fishing guidelines, for those that wish to check on the closing dates for fishing. If ice fishing is more your style, check out our great rates! Look under ‘winter visitors’ for more information.

For the Hunters

We have 5 cottages that we rent to hunters, but we prefer you already hunt in District 47 and just need a place to stay. So if that pertains to you, we can accommodate from 4-10 hunters easily. We own 100 acres of land you can use to hunt on with lots of crown land close by. We only have a one week season for moose in our area and a 2 week season for deer, but small game is open from September 15th to December 15th. Check further dates with the MNR Hunting Guidelines for Area 47. Call for hunting rates.
